Prof. Dr. Dominik Brodowski

The newest member of the RZE board is Prof. Dominik Brodowski, who was appointed to the junior professorship for criminal law and criminal procedure („tenure track“) at Saarland University in 2017.
In addition to European and international criminal law with its international and constitutional references, he also researches the criminal law implications of digitalisation. A third focus of his research is to analyse current problems in criminal law and to develop strategies for its methodological advancement. As Prof. Brodowski explains in the RZE podcast, criminal law in its methodological and professional diversity can no longer be thought of without its European perspective, which is why this plays a central role in his research and teaching.
