Prof. Dr. Thomas Giegerich
Prof. Giegerich holds the chair for European Law, International Law and Public Law at Saarland University. He is also one of the two acting directors of the renowned Europainstitut at Saarland University and runs the Jean Monnet Block, where legal analyses and academic texts on European law are regularly made available to the public as e-papers.
Prof. Giegerich is particularly interested in the relationship between European and national constitutional law and the comparison of the constitutions of different countries. He also researches the topics of human rights protection, international treaty law and peaceful dispute resolution.
